On Tuesday 26th February, Year 4 went on an exciting and exploratory visit to the Science Centre at Herstmonceux.
There were lots of excited faces and engaged learners, as the children explored the various exhibits. This was followed by a very interesting talk and tour of the ancient telescope, leaving the children in awe. Lots of excellent questions followed, displaying the level of focus and learning.
After lunch, the children explored the physics park outside: predicting, experimenting and discussing what they had found. They also had a wonderful interactive workshop all about space, the sun, the earth and the moon, which precedes the topic we are teaching this term. This practical learning engaged everyone at their own level, and created a lot of excitement ahead of our Science lessons this term.
