On a January evening in the Old Gym, five Year 8 Drama Scholarship candidates performed the monologues they have prepared for their scholarship interviews as part of an Informal Drama Presentation Evening.
They were joined by some Year 7 pupils who also had monologues ready to show. The standard was very high and it was clear that many hours of work had gone in to learning lines and polishing performances. There was a terrific variety in the speeches that were performed; a good mix of comedy and tension (sometimes in the same speech), with a little Shakespeare too.
Very well done to: Eliza F, Florence K, Phoebe M, Gracie G and Mya V (Year 8) and Phoebe H and Emilie M (Year 7).
I wish the Year 8 pupils every success in their upcoming senior school scholarships and extend my thanks to the parents for their continued support.
